Be it the bull fiddle or the bass fiddle it is a strong member of anything from a big band to a small jazz trio.
This is the guy who keeps the beat and if it ain't got that beat man it's a nowhere's thing. Ya dig man!
Remember Buddy Holly and the Crickets ... Guitar, drums and bass and "Some Like It Hot" would not have been the same without the bass player.
